About Uche Nwakanma, M.A.

 

Uche is a 4th year advanced doctoral student in the APA-Accredited Clinical Psychology program at The Chicago School. She has extensive experience providing assessment services to individuals across the lifespan and is skilled in providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults.

 

Uche has trained in various settings, including private practice, the school system, and university counseling. Throughout her training, she has completed multiple psychological batteries and has assessed clients with various developmental, psychological, and behavioral concerns. She is committed to creating a testing environment that is characterized by acceptance and genuineness, and prides herself on providing culturally informed assessment services.

 

The cornerstone of Uche’s approach to psychological assessment is collaboration. She understands that while she may possess knowledge on the field of psychology, her clients have extensive knowledge on their lived experiences and are the experts regarding their situations. Uche believes it is necessary to combine her knowledge with her client’s experiences to reach their goals.
