About Dr. Fletcher:
 

Dr. Fletcher is a licensed clinical psychologist and has extensive experience providing quality therapeutic services to adults, children, adolescents, and families that have presented with a variety of psychological issues. Dr. Fletcher additionally has developed an expertise in conducting thorough psychological and psychoeducational assessments with children and adolescents.
 

Dr. Fletcher earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology, located in Chicago, IL. Dr. Fletcher has developed her clinical skills working with individuals across the lifespan while working in a multitude of settings in an effort to ensure a breadth of clinical experience. Dr. Fletcher has worked in therapeutic day schools, hospital-affiliated outpatient practices, community mental health agencies, and pediatric developmental centers. She completed an APA accredited internship at South Shore Mental Health, located in the Boston, MA area. These clinical training experiences have allowed Dr. Fletcher to refine her skills working with adults as well as children and adolescents.
 

In practice, Dr. Fletcher is committed to utilizing evidence-based therapies that have been proven to be effective in alleviating various symptoms and primarily works from a cognitive-behavioral perspective when developing treatment goals and plans. Dr. Fletcher understands that in order to deliver the most effective treatment, flexibility is key and thus has committed to developing expertise in a variety of treatment methods and continues to value the role of education and specialization in her practice. She is adept at integrating new evidence-based interventions into her clinical repertoire. Additionally, Dr. Fletcher believes that building a strong therapeutic relationship is paramount in working with individuals and families. She ensures that a strong alliance is established through taking the time to build trust and truly hear and address each individual’s and family’s needs. Dr. Fletcher values the role that culture plays in the development of personality strengths as well as difficulties, and consistently works to incorporate cultural values and practices into both therapy and assessment.

Dr. Fletcher utilizes a holistic perspective in understanding each individual, integrating all aspects of an individual’s personality and worldview into treatment and assessment. She also believes that significant consideration must be given to the systems in which the client belongs to such as the family, school, and community, as well as outside agencies and larger systemic influences.
